Why real estate and why now? Let me take you down memory lane… So let's just say that I have been in and out of the world of real estate since I can remember… I didn't know what the business was and I sure as heck didn't learn the foundation and fundamentals in a proper way… My parents owned several multi-families, rentals, lots, manufactured homes, restaurant and laundromats, but none of it was appealing to me growing up. Fast forward to meeting my husband 15+ years ago…. REMEMBER… I didn't want to be in the real estate business, I was focused on my education and building my career as a psychotherapist AND then I meet this man, who, believe it or not, is also in the real estate business and owned several multi-family rentals… AGAIN that was not what I desired, and although I supported him in his dreams, I stayed far away… Let's fast forward again to 2017, we were surprised with-- TWINS! It was exciting and terrifying knowing that we had to go from a family of 4 to a family of 6, I was working full time as a school counselor, I absolutely loved my job, was comfortable in my life, but God had different plans, and everything was about to change… we quickly realized that I could not return to work full time and that we needed some time to figure out what we will be doing as a family. I stayed home for about a year and then ventured out to contracting and consulting with a private practice. I enjoyed my role and the flexibility that it allowed me, but I knew I wanted to do more and scale in a different way. My husband has always wanted to expand his real estate business, I supported him, but didn't want to be part of it until 2019, that's when everything changed. In 2019 my husband attended a weekend workshop. The workshop focused on real estate and the many different ways that a business can be built through real estate. I was fascinated and wanted to learn more! And that's exactly what I did. I found excitement in the possibilities to create freedom and live a life that we always dreamed of through real estate, not only that, but I also saw a way to help others do the same and replicate what I had learned, so they can create their own freedom and expand on their dreams and their purpose in life. I am so thankful for that weekend and for God allowing me to see what else is out here, what other possibilities where available to us. It's funny how everything works, I have known this business all of my life, I stayed away from it, but I always had the knowledge and knew bits and pieces of it, but I never would have guessed that this is where I was going to land. Now, I absolutely LOVE what I do, I get to help individuals and families become homeowners, I get to help others generate income through real estate, I teach others how to invest in real estate, I mentor those who want to create a REAL ESTATE business, I get to give, not only money, but what I have learned, my resources, my connections and everything that I have used and continue to learn while building our business. I was forced to transition out of my comfort zone, and I am so glad I stayed obedient to what God laid out for me, for my family and those I serve. I am excited to be on this journey and have been able to join my husband in his. This is my why and my why now… Curious to know and hear about anyone who has made a full career change and a life changing experience that forced you to go into a different direction in your life?
